Construction Update: The Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) Project Management & Engineering Department (PM&E) is preparing to begin construction of the Quinhagak Street Reconstruction project from E. Dowling Road to Askeland Drive (see map below for project limits). Construction will begin in late May or early June, depending on when seasonal weight restrictions are lifted. Work is tentatively anticipated to begin at E. 64th Avenue.
MOA selected Mass Excavation, Inc. (MASS) to perform the construction of this project through the public bidding process. MOA and MASS’s contact information is provided on the Comment page. The MOA is planning to upgrade Quinhagak Street between East Dowling Road and Askeland Drive.
Improvements will include:
- New road foundation
- New asphalt pavement
- New curb & gutter
- New storm drain system
- New pedestrian facilities
- New street lighting
MOA PM&E has contracted with CRW Engineering Group, Inc. (CRW) to provide engineering and design services.
